The Monocrystalline Portable Folding Solar Panel, available in 160 watt rating, features ‘A’ grade highly efficient German SolarWorld® Monocrystalline cells. The panels lightweight design includes adjustable legs which allows the panels to be angled towards the sun and be conveniently moved as required.
The panel itself features reinforced aluminium legs, quality stainless steel hinges and latches and a fold-away handle.
Included is a 5m Anderson™ to Anderson™ cable, so the panel can be set-up in full sun and you can still set-up camp in a shady area.
With genuine industry standard Anderson™ SB™50 connectors, installation has never been easier or faster.
REDARC recommends the purchase of an REDARC Solar Regulator. This is essential to ensure that the correct charge is supplied safely and efficiently and will protect batteries from overcharging. Minimum 20A Solar Regulatorrequired for the 160 watt Folding Solar Panel.

Placement of Solar panels with regards to the sun
Ideally your solar panel should be in direct sunlight for best performance. This means that as much as possible your solar panel should be perpendicular to the direction of the sun rays. In practice this is not easily achievable or convenient and so we recommend that you orient your panels so that they are facing north at about a 45° angle.
