The Hummingbird GPS Day/Night switch uses its GPS location to automatically calculate sunrise and sunset times.
It is popular in mine sites and construction applications where work is done over all hours of the night and generator lighting is required. The output can be used to trigger anything to an external LED/buzzer, activate a generator or activate/deactivate work lights.
Powerful Performance
The HMLS1500 uses data received from the Global Positioning Satellite network to accurately calculate the local sunrise and sunset times of its location. Using
GPS as an alternative to traditional light sensors makes the system immune to dust, cloud cover, fouling and changes in ambient light.
Sunrise and sunset offsets can be set by utilising the internal dip switches which can bring forward or delay activation up to 2 hours before or after sunrise or
sunset in 10-minute increments.
